Dear Friends and Prospective Participants,
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 11th International Conference on Advanced Power System Automation and Protection (APAP 2025), which will be held at Phoenix Island Resort in Jeju, Korea, from October 20 to 23, 2025.
Since APAP was first launched in 2004, it has steadily built an excellent international reputation and has consistently made a positive impact on our power systems field. APAP is now well-positioned to have a global impact on various areas of power system research, including power system automation and protection by serving as a platform for idea exchange and research cooperation among international experts.
Our conference topics will continue to focus primarily on the latest developments in power system automation and protection area, along with their diverse applications. These will encompass various aspects, including not only the automation and protection of smart grids, microgrids, digital substations, distribution systems, and railway power networks but also the protection and control of HVDC, MVDC, LVDC, FACTS, MTDC, and AC/DC hybrid systems, with an emphasis on data-driven approaches to power system analysis, automation, protection, and control. Additionally, we are broadening our scope to include power system modeling, analysis, simulation, planning, operation, and economics. Particularly, we will address topics related to AI and machine learning applications, cybersecurity and digital resilience, the integration and protection of inverter-based resources and clean energy generation as well as emerging challenges in climate change and resilience. These additions will make the Jeju meeting even more comprehensive.
Jeju, a globally renowned island for its unique nature, has been proposed as the very nice conference venue due to its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its idyllic surroundings are perfect for hosting our live programs. Moreover, Jeju Island offers a myriad of natural tourism opportunities, such as islands, volcanoes, waterfalls, beaches, national parks, caves, and forests. We hope you will relish this beautiful island all much as you can during the conference.
Looking forward with great anticipation, we eagerly await your presence at Jeju in this October. Meeting old and new friends and colleagues in person will be an absolute delight, providing us with the opportunity to network, forge new collaborations, and focus on our shared interests and goals. See you in October 2025!
